WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading and managing a designated production area to ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery and quality performance. This role coordinates cross-functional support—including purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics—to meet area goals and drive continuous improvement aligned with NN, Inc.’s Operating System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer delivery and quality concerns within the value stream.
· Coordinate and procure necessary support functions to meet production and operational goals.
· Facilitate area meetings and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
· Foster team engagement through regular communication, mentoring, and support of improvement ideas.
· Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
· Manage key performance indicators including headcount, labor costs, and on-time delivery.
· Utilize manufacturing systems data to drive cost awareness and analysis.
· Provide timely feedback and performance reviews for team members.
· Lead and support project start-up teams within the value stream.
· Understand, follow, and support the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management, training, direction, and evaluation of the assigned production area. Ensures compliance with company policies and applicable laws, including OSHA regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to read and write in English, interpret technical documents, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers. Capable of preparing and delivering presentations to various audiences.
· Proficient in basic and applied mathematics including statistical analysis, cost calculations, and data interpretation. Able to read and apply production data and graphs.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define issues, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Able to identify defects and apply practical solutions using production reports and metrics.
· Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 30 pounds. Requires visual acuity for close and distance work, color differentiation, and depth perception. Use of vision correction is acceptable within safety guidelines.
