Description
This position requires clinical participation at the World Trade Center Health Program's clinical sites in Commack and Westbury. Approximately 80% of the work effort will be devoted to patient care and administrative duties while 20% will be devoted to clinical education. Administrative duties include general oversight of various aspects of the World Trade Center Health Program. Clinical activities are directed toward the clinical manifestations of the toxic exposure at the World Trade Center disaster. Participation in clinical programs involving both the identification, treatment and monitoring of WTC responder related problems is necessary.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
MD (or equivalent). Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine or Occupational Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong internal medicine background with experience working in a research academic center. Experience with clinical or laboratory research is desirable.

Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
