Vocational Counselor
- Salary Range: $24.04 - $28.55/hour based on relevant years of experience
- Location: Larimer county, Colorado - Spirit Crossing Clubhouse
- Status: full time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: Monday -Friday "evening and weekend shifts required"
Role Overview:
Responsible for functioning as a colleague working in partnership with clubhouse members and staff in all areas of the Clubhouse program and Supported Employment services, and other behavioral health services
Essential Duties:
- Job development and placement, job coaching, and support planning of clubhouse members and for various employment programs.
- Counsel individuals regarding employment related issues including benefits counseling and advising for education or technical and career planning.
- Community based services, marketing, and advocacy for individuals to assist in job seeking, gaining, and maintaining employment.
- Coordination of support services with mental health providers, family, and other personal supports.
- Strengths based goal planning and evaluation.
- Use teamwork to coordinate Clubhouse unit work and social/recreational activities.
- Job coaching and on-the-job training
- Advising for education or technical training and career planning
- Program evaluation domain program fidelity of Clubhouse standards and IPS supported employment evidenced based best practices.
- Provide a variety of transportation services to include driving agency vans and 14 passenger coach for daily shuttle service to/from program, job development (with and without individuals), community support and social activities/events.
- Documentation using medical records system, and MS operating systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required
- Experience in the behavioral health field preferred
- Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and consider
- Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
