Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Tool Crib Attendants for a large defense company located in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, CA. The positions are available for both first shift (6am-2:30pm) and second shift (2pm-10:30pm). This role offers the opportunity for overtime and competitive pay based on experience. The ideal candidate will be motivated to streamline processes and support the team by improving tool control and consumables management.
Responsibilities
- Utilize digital tools to track and manage tool inventory efficiently.
- Work from manufacturing schedules, verbal instructions, and written requests to ensure accurate and timely transactions of crib stock.
- Inspect tools for damage, cleanliness, and proper operation before issuing or upon their return.
- Coordinate tool repairs or replacements to maintain availability.
- Monitor tool usage to prevent loss or unauthorized removal.
- Prepare complete tool kits for various manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly storage area.
- Check incoming materials against paperwork and store them properly.
- Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork and reports.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report any shortages or discrepancies.
- Adhere to all site safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a warehouse associate or in an equivalent role.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or other warehouse management and inventory control tools.
- Experience with inventory management including Lot, Serial, and Batch tracking at high mix, high production volumes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent office management tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-maintained environment within a large company that is expanding and has recently received funding to build a new facility. The role involves collaboration with various departments including tooling suppliers and material handling, and requires operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
