Job Description
2026 Summer Law Clerk Program
Murray Osorio, PLLC is a full-service immigration law firm, practicing in all areas of immigration law including removal defense, family petitions and waivers, business immigration, and federal litigation. Our program allows law clerks to rotate between three of our teams (Affirmative, Defensive and Litigation) to get an overview and work in each of our main practice areas. During each rotation, our law clerks work with a dedicated mentor who can provide them with guidance and real-life examples of the day-to-day of an immigration attorney.
The internship is a paid 10-week program geared toward rising 3Ls consisting of one week of orientation and then three team rotations, each rotation lasting three weeks. The law clerk will work with multiple attorneys on each team and assist with affidavits, brief and motions writing, client communication, and research. The Affirmative team focuses on applications that are submitted with USCIS or DOS, including family/marriage-based petitions, asylum, adjustment of status, waivers of inadmissibility, consular processing, and naturalization. The Defensive team focuses on applications for relief from removal in court, including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, and court-based waivers where clients may be detained or non-detained. The Litigation team focuses on appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, and District Court litigation including writs of mandamus and habeas corpus.
Throughout the 10 weeks, we offer group skills sessions with individual attorneys to learn about specific topics within immigration law, lunch sessions, and social gatherings to promote networking. The goal of our firm is to make associate job offers at the end of the summer for top performing law clerks.
