Position Information:
Under the direct supervision of the CFAO, the incumbent is primarily responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, processing, reconciliation for procurement and payroll, and general financial operational support to the faculty and administrative staff. The Financial Analyst has primary responsibility for understanding and implementing the appropriate chart of account code (COA) on all financial transactions. Ensures appropriate funding availability for faculty and unit resources. The incumbent must understand and implement policies and procedures related to all procurement, entertainment, and travel transactions and reporting. This incumbent will be a backup for front desk duties and general administrative support to the School.
This position does not offer remote modality, the expectation for this position is on-campus presence.
The full salary range for this position is $51,600 to $87,000. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

- The Financial Analyst has primary responsibility for understanding and implementing the appropriate chart of account code (COA) on all financial transactions including but not limited to reconciliation, Purchase order P.O., payment procedures (ie invoice/bill payment/Use Tax reversal processing), payroll, reimbursement, etc.
- The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, processing, managing reconciliation for procurement and payroll, and general financial operational support to the faculty and administrative staff.
Resolve expense & payroll COA errors or discrepancies as necessary to maintain budget integrity via the automated or manual NCT/SCT Tools.
Ensures appropriate funding availability for faculty and unit resources.
- Responsible for providing basic reports from various financial applications that support the Finance Analyst II in their reconciliations.
- Incumbent must have and maintain current in depth knowledge of UC’s, campus' & School’s Policies, procedures & financial applications related to travel, procurement, and reimbursement to make informed decisions for error/discrepancy corrections. Provide customers with accurate policy information for their appropriate decision making processes.
Back up managing the Dean's parking and conference calendars for the school.
Back up for maintaining office supply inventory.
Back up for managing the key inventory, distribution, and maintenance of key log.
Provides professional and quality customer service to various constituents, internal and external of School.
Other duties as assigned.
