Guest Service Agents are the eyes, ears, and friendly faces on the ground at each of our terminal locations. Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Ensuring all passengers have a pleasant experience and are informed about the different ways to purchase tickets (either via Ticket Vending Machines, our Mobile App, or through Rider Service Agents).</li>
<li>Must be able to handle money and tickets accurately and responsibly and effectively handle cash and credit card sales in high volume and quick-paced environment.</li>
<li>Responsible for accurate cash counts and deposits.</li>
<li>Promote the Mobile Ticketing App.</li>
<li>Act as ambassador who promotes all things ferry.</li>
<li>Knowing and communicating information about the ferry service, including rules, regulations, and basic knowledge about the neighborhood where assigned.</li>
<li>Most positions require working alone, but some may require working with a partner.</li>
<li>Contacting managers with information regarding any major ferry delays, incidents, or passenger complaints.</li>
<li>Set up and break down of ticketing cash drawer, filling out paperwork related to ticket sales.</li>

Position Overview
KU's Facilities Services department supports KU's mission of learning, scholarship, and creative endeavor by operating and maintaining the university's physical plant and grounds. This full-time position within the Facilities Services department, supervises the resources and staff who provide on-site HVAC repair and maintenance services for assigned systems and/or buildings. The HVAC Supervisor plans, directs and oversees all work activities lead workers, and/or maintenance technicians, which follow a daily and seasonal plan for maintenance services. The supervisor is also responsible for providing staff training and on-site assistance as needed.
Job Description
50% - Assist the management of campus HVAC systems and associated resources
• Effectively manage available staff, material and service resources towards campus priorities ensuring HVAC system reliability across the Lawrence campus. • Assist with the management of the campus BAS enterprise control system as it relates to HVAC. • Assist with Preventive Maintenance operations to reduce reactive maintenance and further • Ensure HVAC system reliability by developing and implementing a plan for the ongoing maintenance, Repair and replacement of units in compliance with University standards in furtherance of the university's mission. • Directly supervises senior technicians and any related support technicians. • Ensures compliance with industry best practices for maintenance, safety and installation of HVAC equipment.
20% - Perform and/or oversee necessary cost accounting, time reporting, work order management and purchasing activities to ensure necessary data is available to make effective data-driven decisions for our organization.
10% - Project/Modification work
Oversee, review and/or comment on new project proposals and documents from the KU and/or commercial engineering design team to ensure industry best practices for efficiency, reliability and maintainability. Review, coordinate and oversee new minor HVAC modification projects including but not limited to, replacements, refurbishments, and new installations.
10% - Communicate, coordinate and collaborate with customers, staff, peer leadership and university leadership as activities relate to HVAC systems. Ensure affected customers are appropriately informed of activities that impact their operations.
5% - Oversee and/or perform all new hire and/or termination activities for the unit.
5% - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
1. Reach, grasp, lift, carry, and place moderately heavy loads frequently, and heavy loads occasionally (50 lbs) with or without accommodation. 2. Perform work above normal heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures – both hot and cold, inside, and outdoors. 3. Report to work during declared periods of inclement weather. 4. Organizational Unit Overview:
Facilities Services is a unit in Campus Operations Division, which is a part of a broad, diverse division of Administration and Finance that includes all aspects of facilities management at East Carolina University. East Carolina University is the third largest university in the University of North Carolina system with approximately 28,000 FTS and a staff of over 6,000. The university is comprised of more than 7 million square feet of facilities located on approximately 1400 acres with physical assets in excess of $1.5 billion. This includes the Main, Health Sciences, and West Research Campuses, and satellite locations throughout North Carolina associated with university programs. Facilities Services has an annual budget in excess of $30 million and employs approximately 500 FTE. Major functions include facilities maintenance and housekeeping services.
Facilities Services primary purpose is to plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance functions on all building structures and equipment and utility infrastructure. Corrective maintenance returns equipment to optimal design performance after failure or upon degradation from age, adverse operation conditions, etc. Preventive maintenance minimizes equipment failures and reduces corrective maintenance.

- Contributing to the Master Plan on landscape architecture, site development, lighting, sustainable practices, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, site amenities, and other various design issues. - Providing guidance for all new buildings and/or major renovation projects on campus regarding Landscape Architecture. Has significant input in the design review process from a planning and operations standpoint. Is integral in the construction of these projects, ensuring methods of installation are appropriate. Inspects construction sites and is involved in final acceptance of the building and site work. - Management of landscape designs created by outside designers. - Development of in-house landscape architectural projects from initial concept to implementation. - Providing consultation/education to academic departments regarding sustainable practices in landscape architecture.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment and one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Licensed to practice architecture or landscape architecture by the North Carolina Board of Architecture or the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
LEED Certification and experience with GIS is desirable. Applicants that will receive the required licensure within 12 months of hire will also be considered.
