Pay Rate: $35.00-$36.50/Hour
Shift: M-W 08:30-4:00
Position Type: Part-Time Sub work, flexible hours.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substitute School Nurse to join SOS Group. The Substitute School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students in the absence of the regular school nurse. This position requires someone who is knowledgeable about pediatric healthcare, compassionate towards children, and capable of handling medical emergencies effectively. *Employer paid clearances*
Responsibilities:

Provide basic healthcare services to students, including first aid, medication administration, and health assessments.
</li>
<li>
Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries that occur during the school day.
</li>
<li>
Monitor students with chronic health conditions and administer necessary treatments or medications as prescribed.
</li>
<li>
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding students' health concerns and needs.
</li>
<li>
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all students.
</li>
<li>
Follow school policies and procedures related to healthcare and emergency response protocols.
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with other school personnel to promote a healthy and safe learning environment.
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>
Registered Nurse (RN) OR LPN.
</li>
<li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
</li>
<li>
Ability to remain calm and composed during medical emergencies.
</li>

Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures and protocols.

CPR and First Aid certification required.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

We are looking for the right Nurse Practitioner to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. 
In performing Disability Assessments, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran.
You will electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
The Nurse Practitioner DOES NOT make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.
This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.
This position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average.
Schedule Full-Time (8am-4pm)
This is an IN-PERSON position.
