Job Description The College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Al and Mary Agnes McQuinn Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and, based on qualifications, be eligible for a tenured professorship in the College’s Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS). The position supports teaching and research relating to entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, and related disciplines. This is a nine-month appointment. If hired at the Assistant Professor rank, the candidate will be appointed to the endowed Chair upon successful promotion with tenure at the Associate Professor rank. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship programs designed for a general business education, the McQuinn Chair’s position within CAFNR lends itself to a natural emphasis on entrepreneurship in life sciences, food and agriculture, rural development, and natural resource entrepreneurship. When created in 2004, the McQuinn Chair was designed to enhance research, classroom teaching, and one-on-one mentoring in entrepreneurial leadership, with a specific charge to enhance the life sciences economic engine in the State of Missouri and to help raise MU’s national reputation as promoter of innovation in this emerging field. This includes the pursuit of innovative and non-conventional visions, the parameters and requirements of risk-taking, and personal conduct and priorities. The scope of the chair is not only with the creation, management, and growth of new firms and organizations but also with the operation of existing enterprises, the adaptation of technological and organizational innovations, and the management of human resources. We are interested in candidates whose professional background, research, and/or teaching interests complement DASS’s existing strengths in entrepreneurship theory, the economics of institutions and organizations, natural resource economics, community development, and policy analysis. DASS is home to several research and outreach centers, including the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI), the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center (RaFF), the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership (GICL), the Financial Research Institute (FRI), the Interdisciplinary Center for Food Security, along with the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Society for the Humanities Fellowships
The Society for the Humanities at Cornell University invites applications for residential fellowships from scholars and artists whose projects reflect on the 2024-25 theme of Silence. Up to six fellows will be appointed. The fellowships are held for one year (August through July). Each Society Fellow will receive $60,000.
Fellows include scholars and practitioners from other universities and members of the Cornell faculty released from regular duties. Fellows at the Society for the Humanities are “residential,” and will collaborate with one another and the Taylor Family Director of the Society for the Humanities, Paul Fleming, L. Sanford and Jo Mills Reis Professor of Humanities and professor of comparative literature and German studies. Fellows spend their time in research and writing during the residential fellowship, and are required to participate in a weekly Fellows Seminar workshopping each other’s projects and discussing readings based on the yearly theme.
The nature of this fellowship year is social and communal—fellows forge connections outside the classroom and the lecture hall by sharing meals following the weekly seminar and attending post-lecture receptions and other casual events throughout the year. Fellows live and work in Ithaca, NY, and are expected to be in their offices on campus frequently. All applicants for Society Fellowships should share in this commitment to creating a supportive and intellectually stimulating community.
Fellows teach one small seminar during their fellowship year appropriate for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. Though courses are designed to fit the focal theme, there are no additional restrictions on what or how the course should be taught. Fellows are encouraged to experiment with both the content and the method of their seminar particularly as it relates to their current research.
Qualifications
Fellows should be working on topics related to the 2024-25 focal theme of “Silence.” Their approach to the humanities should be broad enough to appeal to students and scholars in several humanistic disciplines. Applicants must have received the Ph.D. degree before January 1, 2023. The Society for the Humanities will not consider applications from scholars who received the Ph.D. after this date. Applicants must also have one or more years of teaching experience, which may include teaching as a graduate student. International scholars are welcome to apply, contingent upon visa eligibility.
Application Procedures

<li>A curriculum vitae.</li>
<li>A one-page abstract describing the research project the applicant would like to pursue during the term of the fellowship (up to 300 words).</li>
<li>A detailed statement of the research project (1,000 – 2,000 words). Applicants may also include a one-page bibliography of the most essential materials to the project.</li>
<li>A course proposal for a seminar related to the applicant’s research. Seminars meet 2.5 hours per week for one semester and enrollment is limited to a combined audience of advanced undergraduates and graduate students (capped at 15 students). The course proposal should consist of:

<li>A brief course description suitable for the University course catalog (50-125 words)</li>
<li>A detailed course proposal (up to 300 words)</li>
<li>A list of the essential texts for the course.</li>

Qualifications
Candidates should possess an MFA in a studio art discipline by the time of appointment. Candidate should have university-level teaching experience with an emphasis on drawing from direct observation and the elements and principles essential to 2D design. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching drawing and 2D design classes within the foundations area of our department. The ability to work collaboratively with other foundations faculty to maintain the studios and in developing a consistent curriculum is essential. A strong record of creative scholarship and evidence of an active exhibition record is preferred. The ability to seek external funding is strongly encouraged to support research. Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following: undergraduate mentoring; engagement with programs directed toward first-generation students; direction and supervision of undergraduate research.

Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow&nbsp; Department of Spanish and Portuguese New York University Arts and Science APFF (Managing Editor, Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies + language teaching) The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at New York University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor Faculty Fellow (APFF) position in the field of Spanish Peninsular literature and culture. Area of expertise may range from medieval to contemporary, with specialty and chronological focus open. The APFF’s primary responsibility will be to serve as Managing Editor for the Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies with an additional 1:1 course load teaching Spanish language courses in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Our department is composed of a diverse group of scholars who have worked together to create a rigorous and inclusive environment for research and teaching. In addition to literature, history, and philosophy, faculty in our department work in a range of inter-related areas in the field of cultural studies (including archival studies, animal studies, sexuality studies, migration studies, post-colonial studies, and transatlantic studies) while encouraging new approaches to the study of visual culture, print culture, sound, and performance studies. We are especially interested in applicants whose work challenges the field in terms of geographic, linguistic, and cultural scope; and who see themselves as forming an integral part of a community of scholars that supports NYU’s dedication to Peninsular studies, including the Department’s historic relationship to NYU Madrid, the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, and the Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies. Successful candidates should have near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English, since they will teach one class of Spanish language instruction each semester. PRIMARY PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY:
The Brennan School of Business’s 2022-2028 strategic plan envisions to equip Brennan graduates with the skills necessary to address significant business challenges and gain recognition for their leadership abilities, entrepreneurial mindset, and global perspective. As part of this vision, a tenure-track faculty position specializing in entrepreneurship will enhance the entrepreneurial curriculum, teach the standard seven course load, provide guidance via advising students, and engage in scholarly activities. Given the pivotal role entrepreneurship plays within the strategic plan, a new entrepreneurship faculty member will collaborate closely with the Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, and fellow colleagues at the Brennan School of Business on various initiatives, including the following:

Assistant or Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Build and manage relationships with numerous strategic workforce partners – including long-term care employers, payors, advocates, and others - to support collaboration and the successful integration of job quality practices.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance and consulting to project-based partners to support program design, implementation, and evaluation; this will include intensive, hands-on support to project partners to assess and modify organizational practices in support of implementing and maintaining workplace environments conducive to high-quality direct care jobs.</li>
<li>Routinely meet programmatic deadlines and proactively communicate impediments to the Vice President of Workforce Innovations.</li>
<li>Produce high-quality project deliverables in line with PHI and WIT acceptance criteria including PowerPoint slide deck presentations, external and internal reports, project worksheets, assessment tools, workflows, and other items as needed to meet project goals.</li>
<li>Plan, facilitate, and document meetings, informational sessions, webinars and other interactions with external partners; this could include coordinating planning with WIT and other PHI staff members, sending meeting invitations and conferencing information to attendees, creating and disseminating agendas, facilitation, documenting and archiving associated notes, and establishing next steps.</li>
<li>Collaborate with WIT staff to coordinate team roles, optimize efficiency, and meet project goals.</li>
<li>Work with WIT staff to support the development of PHI’s online and in-person workforce training curricula; act as a subject matter expert to inform the creation of contextualized content that reflects the lived experiences of workers within a PHI intervention.</li>
<li>Work with WIT to apply principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion to PHI’s job quality models; contribute to the development of new workforce training and practice strategies aimed at improving job quality for a diverse direct care workforce.</li>
<li>Collaborate with PHI’s Vice President of Research and Evaluation and Vice President of Workforce Innovations to develop and implement evaluation efforts that build the evidence base for sustained investment in direct care job quality interventions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with PHI’s Director of Philanthropy to provide project data and information as needed to support funder reporting and communication efforts.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource to PHI’s Policy Team on workforce and organizational development practices as needed.</li>
<li>Promote PHI’s school of thought and the dissemination of effective practice models through speaking at conferences, contributing to PHI’s blog, and cultivating external relationships to bring in new business. QUALIFICATIONS</li>
<li>Minimum five years’ experience in workforce and organizational development, preferably within the long-term care, aging, and/or disability sectors.</li>
<li>Proven experience successfully designing, leading, and evaluating complex interventions from inception to completion in alignment with organizational strategic impact aims.</li>
