Job Description

Now Hiring: Field Support Mobile Maintenance Manager

Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)
Territory: Multi-State Field-Based Role (PA, NC, SC, GA, KY, IN, VA, OH, and surrounding states — expanding into TN soon)
Travel: At least 3 weeks per month, home most weekends (company service vehicle provided)

At National Fleet Management (NFM), we believe in doing things the right way — with hard work, accountability, teamwork, and fun. We’re expanding our leadership team and looking for a Field Support Mobile Maintenance Manager to strengthen operations across multiple states.

This is a field-first leadership role designed to support General Managers and mobile diesel technicians by ensuring service trucks are ready, technicians are trained, technology is adopted, and customers are satisfied. You’ll be in the field at least three weeks per month (home most weekends), helping keep our people and operations moving forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Support General Managers with technician staffing, onboarding, and training.

  • Conduct ride-a longs, field audits, and coaching to ensure high performance and safety compliance.

  • Coordinate setup, inspection, and relocation of new service trucks.

  • Train and support technicians and managers in the use of our ERP system (Karmak) and the Karmak app for job documentation, time tracking, and customer communication.

  • Serve as a temporary technician in understaffed or high-demand areas to maintain service continuity.

  • Assist in resolving customer concerns and reinforce service quality standards.

  • Onboard and mentor new General Managers in company culture, workflows, and technician management.

A Day in the Life

As a Field Support Mobile Maintenance Manager, no two days look the same. One day you might be riding along with a new technician, coaching them on efficiency and safety. The next day, you could be inspecting a newly deployed service truck, making sure it’s fully stocked and ready to roll. You’ll spend time in the field training teams on the Karmak ERP system and app, helping General Managers onboard new hires, and stepping in when a territory needs extra support.

While you’ll travel across multiple states to keep operations strong, you’ll be home most weekends, giving you the balance between road time and personal time. This role is built for someone who thrives on problem-solving, grit, and teamwork, and who wants to make a direct impact on technicians, managers, and customers every single week.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diesel Technician experience required (hands-on technical background).

  • At least 3 years of experience managing operations in a fleet maintenance, diesel, or heavy-duty truck service environment.

  • Direct experience managing a team of 5 or more employees (including technicians and/or service advisors) in a high-volume service or repair setting.

  • Leadership or field support experience in fleet or maintenance operations highly preferred.

  • CDL preferred, but not required.

  • Experience or knowledge of Karmak ERP/app is a major plus.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (3+ weeks per month, home most weekends).

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • A leader who thrives on hard work, accountability, teamwork, and results.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: $85,000 – $105,000

  • Potential performance-based incentives

  • Company-issued vehicle, phone, and laptop

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • 401(k) with company match & profit-sharing

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holidays

  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities

  • Strong team culture built onhard work, accountability, teamwork, and fun
