Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to oversee and enhance our organization's security framework. Based in Midland, Texas, this role involves ensuring the safety and integrity of information systems while adhering to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to guide security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive information security program tailored to organizational needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations regarding data security and privacy.
• Create and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard information assets.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and implement strategies to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
• Lead and coordinate security efforts across departments to ensure a unified approach.
• Respond to security breaches, oversee incident response planning, and manage investigations.
• Design and manage disaster recovery policies to align with business continuity objectives.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to protect organizational data and maintain security partnerships.
• Deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices.
• Provide strategic guidance on security considerations for IT projects and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
• At least five years of proven experience in information security or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and incident response.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, AWS, and firewall systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team in the field of security.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to provide quality customer service in all interactions.
