Your Impactful Role
- Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate extensions.
- Assists scheduling team with daily questions arising from scheduling issues.
- Cancels and reschedules entire clinics as necessary.
- Pre-registers each new patient by obtaining required information all patient demographic and insurance information.
- Schedules appointments based on availability, location, time, doctor, payor mix, and injury status for all locations.
- Schedules MRI follow-up appointments.
- Creates and maintains weekly matrix and mod listings for Peachtree Orthopedics.
- Builds and maintains electronic physician template.
- Prepares monthly calendar of provider schedules to confirm vacations, on-call schedules, and clinic availability.
- Communicates with physician and other clinical staff members regarding schedule changes and conflicts.
- Triages calls for on-call days, communicating with clinical staff to coordinate work-in appointments.
- Contacts clinics to notify of same day appointments and late patient arrivals.
- Maintains individual and group voice mail and returns both internal and external calls in a timely manner.
- Attends periodic meetings as required.
- Assists Call Center Supervisor and Director with special projects.
- Assists in after-hours emergency scheduling operations as necessary.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
- Experience as a customer care representative or call center in medical office preferred.
- Knowledgeable in orthopedic terminology. basic billing functions, basic clinical functions, administrative practices, operational systems and procedures in medical setting preferred.
- Familiar with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 codes and CMS regulation a plus.
- Understanding of Medical terminology and knowledgeable of Medicare, Managed care and commercial insurances products and plans preferred.
