Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Cambridge, MA 02138
Duration: 2 Months
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:30 AM–4:00 PM (30 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: $25.00–$31.00/hr (No benefits)
Job Summary:
Seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide in-person support in a fast-paced, front-desk environment. Ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills and the ability to stand, walk, and assist customers throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers (faculty, staff, students, visitors) in person, by phone, and email
- Take ID photos and deliver cards across the lobby
- Accurately handle data entry using MS Office, Excel, and internal systems
- Support additional administrative tasks during slower periods
- Maintain confidentiality and provide service with professionalism
- Greet and assist customers at the front desk
- Create and deliver ID cards (including taking photos)
- Walk to/from printers and lobby regularly
- Handle high customer volume (late Aug–early Sept)
- Use MS Office, Excel, and client-specific software
- Assist with other administrative projects
- May be trained on parking software
Requirements:
- Fully ambulatory; comfortable with standing/walking
- Strong face-to-face customer service experience (banking, retail, front desk)
- Highly organized and accurate with data entry
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, polite communicator with a positive attitude
