Position Title: Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure & Systems
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Richmond, VA

Position Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure & Systems to lead the strategic design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-wide technology environments. This senior-level role is ideal for a visionary architect with deep experience across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and application platforms—someone who excels at translating business strategy into scalable, future-ready technical solutions.
As a key technology leader, you will shape multi-year architecture roadmaps, partner closely with senior executives, and drive enterprise standards that support operational excellence and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks aligned with organizational strategy.
- Create and implement long-term infrastructure, cloud, and systems roadmaps.
- Lead architecture governance processes and establish enterprise-wide technology standards.
- Translate business goals into secure, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions.
Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
Architect and integrate solutions across:
- Hybrid/public/private cloud environments
- Enterprise network and infrastructure platforms
- IoT and mobile ecosystems
- Enterprise applications and desktop environments
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovation strategies.
Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration
- Partner with senior leadership and executive stakeholders to align technology investments with strategic outcomes.
- Communicate architectural decisions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite leaders.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership across cross-functional IT teams.
Execution, Optimization & Standards
- Oversee architectural modeling, documentation, and solution reviews.
- Ensure architectures meet organizational standards for performance, resilience, security, and compliance.
- Continuously improve architecture methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- TOGAF Certified (must-have)
- 10+ years of experience in IT architecture
- 3+ years in a senior or lead architect role
- Master’s degree in Computer & Information Science or related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure and cloud architecture
- Experience spanning application, desktop, network, and infrastructure domains
- Proficiency with architectural modeling tools and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to convert business strategy into technical execution
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Cisco CCDE or CCIE
- ITIL 4 Master
