We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to join a company in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. This is a contract position where you will serve as the first point of contact, ensuring visitors and callers receive exceptional service while maintaining administrative efficiency. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to handle a variety of front desk and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors and provide a welcoming first impression of the organization.
• Guide guests to their appropriate destinations and assist with inquiries.
• Manage sensitive or complex requests by directing them to the appropriate staff members.
• Process utility bill payments, including drop-box and walk-in transactions.
• Coordinate scheduling for conference rooms and appointments, and update lobby screens with city information.
• Support mailroom operations by handling equipment and completing mail-related tasks.
• Execute administrative projects for various city departments as needed.
• Maintain an organized and attentive front desk environment.
• Ensure smooth communication between departments and visitors
• Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and switchboards.
• Competence in administrative office tasks and assistance.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in processing payments and handling financial transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of scheduling systems and basic technology tools.
