Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a public school located in Peoria, AZ. This role is focused on providing specialized instruction to students at Quentin STEM Academy. The contract runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026, with a 37.5-hour work week in an onsite setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized educational support to students with special needs in alignment with established curriculum and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff and parents to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and document improvements and challenges
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Arizona Special Education teaching license (mandatory and must be current)
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card required
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with students in special education programs preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and support diverse caseloads with empathy and professionalism
Location: Onsite at Quentin STEM Academy, Peoria, Arizona
Contract Length: ASAP start date through May 21, 2026
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: One CASA teacher role available
