Job Summary

We are actively seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team in the Memphis, TN area. This role requires a strong background in welding and fitting, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ideal candidates will have experience working with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes and should be capable of independently laying out, fitting, and welding materials to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

· Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings

· Lay out, fit, tack, and weld structural steel, stainless, or aluminum components

· Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) based on project requirements

· Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and layout tools for precise measurement and alignment

· Operate hand and power tools including grinders and saws safely and efficiently

· Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications

· Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures; maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

· 2+ years of recent welding and fitting experience

· Proficiency in reading blueprints and welding symbols

· Experience with layout, measurement, and structural fabrication

· Must have own basic hand tools and PPE

· High school diploma or GED required

· AWS Certification (e.g., D1.1 Structural Steel) preferred

· Additional experience with stainless steel or aluminum is a plus

Certifications (Preferred but not Required)

· AWS D1.1 Structural Steel Certification

· AWS D1.3, D1.6, or API 1104 are also valuable

· OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus

Physical Requirements

· Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly

· Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods

· Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or confined environments
