Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in Lowell, MA. This contract position spans the current school year and focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in special education.
- Experience working with high school populations in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple student needs effectively.
