Position Summary:
Capitol Technology University, a nonprofit university located in Laurel, Maryland, seeks a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our faculty as an Adjunct Professor in Electrical Engineering, beginning in Spring 2026. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching undergraduate courses related to electrical engineering, specifically in the areas of circuits, analog and digital electronics, control systems, communications, and electromagnetics.

Position Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Successful record in education and/or professional service.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality instruction and engage students effectively.

College-level teaching experience preferred.

Willingness to teach during both day and evening hours.

Capable of teaching in the areas of communications, electronics, circuits, control systems, and electromagnetics.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
List of Essential Duties:

Deliver and manage class activities in alignment with university policies.

Adhere to university standards for in-person, online, and hybrid teaching.

Develop and deliver comprehensive course materials that align with the curriculum and learning outcomes.

Provide timely grading and submit final grades within 48 hours of the last class meeting.

Maintain availability for student questions and follow-up after final grades are submitted.

Stay current with developments in electrical engineering to ensure content relevance.

Physical Demands:
This position involves minimal physical demands. Candidates must be able to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive motions (e.g., using a computer and telephone), and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. with or without accommodation. Bending, grasping, and pulling may also be required.
