CoSolutions is hiring for a Senior Financial Excel-Database Programmer for the U.S. Army.
Candidate will provide expertise in developing and supporting Financial Management (FM) reporting tools using existing technology resources to enhance analytical and decision support capabilities. Candidate will craft a distinctive resource management and financial reporting tool set that is aligned with the programs, staff, and mission. These tools are to produce metrics and scorecards displayed in automated reports describing the operational status at each defined level and subgroup of Command. Candidate shall demonstrate prior functional expertise in the area of government/military accounting or budgeting.
Candidate will provide on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for development, maintenance and customization of Desktop Analytics, financial analysis , and enhancing financial dashboard capabilities. Candidate will perform daily sources data pulls and load; maintain the data engine, PowerPivot tables, and dash boards; provide desktop and desk- side support to the financial analysts and leadership; and provide customizations and enhancements as prioritized by the customer.
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 Mon thru Fri.
Responsibilities:
Self-starter, able to independently interface with senior Government personnel, manage application development activities, manage Quality Control, and provide accurate and timely status reporting.
Candidate shall develop a dashboard that will optimize and streamline the operational procedures of each functional area using the available DoD data sources. All data sources will be integrated for a common view of resources. Data sources required for integration include, but are not limited to, the following:
- GFEBS (General Funds Enterprise Business System)
- SOMARDS (Standard Operations and Maintenance Army Research and Development System)
- ODS (Operational Data Store)
- STANFINS (Standard Finance System – Army)
- DTS (Defense Travel System)
- GTCC (Government Travel Credit Card)
- GCSS – Army (Global Combat Support System-Army)
- Civilian Personnel Online (CPOL)
- Career Acquisition Personnel and Position Management Information System (CAPPMIS)
- Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS)
- Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (IPERMS)
- Force Management System – Web (FMS WEB)
- Planning Programming Budget Business Operating System (EPROBE)
- Total Employee Development (TED)
- Financial Disclosure Management (FDM)
Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years of government/military Financial Management experience with accounting or budgeting. Minimum seven (7) years integrating disparate DoD financial systems.
Minimum four (4) years’ experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Expert in MS Excel Pivot Tables
Expert in MS Excel Macro/VBA programming
Expert in MS SQL or other SQL-based programming (Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years’ experience with government/military accounting.
10 years’ experience integrating disparate DoD financial systems.
