Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Electricians: Electrical helpers work under the supervision of licensed electricians, assisting them in installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment. They may help with wiring, circuit installations, and setting up electrical panels.
- Installation and Maintenance: They are responsible for installing electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure they function properly.
- Tool and Inventory Management: They manage tools and inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials are available on-site and organized. This includes preparing the workspace and cleaning up after tasks are completed.
- Safety Compliance: Electrical helpers are expected to follow safety protocols and report any hazards or safety concerns to their supervisors. They must be aware of OSHA safety standards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Physical Tasks: The role often involves physical labor, including lifting heavy materials, working on ladders or scaffolds, and performing tasks in various weather conditions.
Skills and Qualifications
