Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a classroom setting designed to foster individualized learning and development. The position is located in a middle school in Longmont, CO, within a structured environment that includes a dedicated team with three support paraprofessionals to assist in delivering comprehensive educational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs.
- Collaborate with support staff to create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
- Address and manage student needs, including physical assistance such as lifting and diaper changing as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with education standards.
- Participate actively in school activities and professional development opportunities, adhering to onsite policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification in Special Education required.
- Previous experience in Colorado schools preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a middle school special education setting.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to student care.

- Onsite position at a middle school in Longmont, Colorado.
Contract Details:
- Full-time Special Education Teacher assignment for the current school year.
