The Wildlife Control Technician plays a critical support role in daily wildlife operations. You will work closely with licensed Wildlife Control Agents (WCAs), assisting with hands-on tasks in the field while learning the ins and outs of the industry. This role offers a clear path toward becoming licensed as a Wildlife Control Agent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trap Checks & Maintenance - Monitor and check traps daily within our core service area.
- Job Closures - Pull traps and seal entry points on the final day of trapping jobs.
- Field Assistance - Help WCAs on two-person jobs (e.g., ladder work, setting up gear).
- Exclusion Work - Assist with installations such as bird vent covers and one-way doors.
- Recurring Services - Perform wildlife prevention and maintenance (e.g., snake deterrent treatments, mole/vole control).
- Training Path - Begin the process of becoming a licensed Wildlife Control Agent through on-the-job learning and supervised experience.
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor
- Strong work ethic, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Valid and current driver's license with good driving record
- Great communication skills and team mindset
- Eager to learn and grow into a licensed Wildlife Control Agent role
- Can take and pass the Wildlife Control Agent exam (within the first 12 months of employment and at first offering of exam which is TBD).
