Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic General Manager to lead our prestigious hotel complex in Key West, Florida and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality and unparalleled guest experiences. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in hotel management, a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences, a strong aptitude for team leadership and business acumen, and a hands-on leader who directly participates in and guides the activities of their team, showing a proactive and engaged approach to leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to all departments (front desk, housekeeping, engineering, F&B, revenue management, accounting, marketing, guest services), ensuring operational excellence and adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Administer financial performance and revenue management to achieve growth targets and profitability.
  • Oversee the planning, forecasting, and adherence to budgets, allocating funds, approving expenses, strategizing capital improvements, suggesting enhancements, seeking opportunities for continual improvements, reducing costs, and optimizing overall profitability.
  • Maintain the property in first-class condition; protect, secure, and enhance the assets as appropriate.
  • Foster a culture of guest-centric service and maintain guest satisfaction at the forefront of all operations.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the hotel's market position and image.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, promoting a collaborative and motivating work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures while meeting or exceeding guest expectations by providing a safe, secure, & quality experience.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as needed.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote a good image, thus fostering future growth.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years Hotel General Manager experience in upscale/luxury hotels.
  • Proven success in driving revenue, managing budgets, and implementing effective cost-control measures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and guest expectations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Desires to be in the field and not manage behind a desk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
