Job Title: Fall Protection System Installer
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Per Diem: $45 per day for travel expenses
- Lodging: Provided during travel
- Overtime: Opportunities available
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fall Protection System Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and a strong commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship. This position requires regional weekday travel and occasional weekend work, with opportunities to work at height in diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Install fall protection systems such as cable systems, rails, anchors, and handrails according to engineering drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Safely and efficiently operate boom lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other access equipment.
- Conduct on-site risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure all installations meet design and safety standards.
- Inspect installed systems to verify compliance with safety regulations and performance requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and safety checks.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or fall protection system installation.
- Comfortable working at heights, including rooftops, ladders, towers, and lifts.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ownership of basic hand tools; willingness to learn specialty tools.
- Basic fabrication or welding experience is a plus.
Certifications & Safety:
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and meet access requirements for secure or military facilities.
- Clean safety record and ability to pass drug screening.
- Comfortable working at heights and capable of climbing ladders or towers safely.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with OSHA fall protection standards, PPE use, and safety inspection procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods (8–12 hours per day).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience installing fall protection systems or similar safety-critical products.
- Knowledge of structural fixings such as mechanical and chemical anchors.
- Familiarity with digital systems for recording installation and project details.
