Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Tier III Audio Visual (AV) Engineer with proven expertise in Crestron and BIAMP programming to join our high-performing team. This is not a junior-level role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, configuring, and supporting advanced AV systems both remotely and on-site. You will work closely with field teams to commission new systems, provide leadership during installations, and support our Advanced Staging Center located near Justin, Texas.
This position requires a balance of technical proficiency, programming expertise, and field-readiness — including up to 25% travel to customer sites for quality assurance, system testing, and supporting field crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and configure Crestron and BIAMP systems for advanced AV deployments
- Support and lead AV system commissioning, both remotely and on-site
- Potential travel to customer sites as needed (up to 25%) to oversee installations and backstop field engineering teams
- Perform rack-level system configuration and testing at our Advanced Staging Center near Justin, TX
- Conduct troubleshooting and system validation for complex AV environments
- Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and design teams to ensure successful deployments
- Provide timely programming updates for Crestron systems as project requirements evolve
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration files, and commissioning reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on AV engineering experience, preferably in a Tier III or senior role
- Demonstrated experience programming Crestron (SIMPL, SIMPL+, or C# preferred) and configuring BIAMP Tesira systems
- Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and signal flow diagrams
- Experience commissioning enterprise-grade AV systems, including video conferencing platforms
- Familiarity with rack integration best practices, testing, and certification
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently, managing time, and leading field teams
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) or relevant credentials
- BIAMP Tesira certification
- Experience with Dante, NDI, and Teams/Zoom Room integrations
- CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certifications a plus
Location:
Position is based in DFW, Texas with frequent travel to our staging center near Justin, TX, and customer sites across the U.S.
