Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a part-time Special Education Teacher to provide homebound instruction to a 3rd grade Life Skills student. The position is based onsite at an elementary school in Willis, TX, with a schedule of 4 hours per week, coordinated between the provider and the students parent. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of a homebound 3rd grade Life Skills student
- Collaborate closely with the students family to schedule sessions and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district guidelines and special education regulations
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that aligns with the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials preferred
- Experience teaching elementary-age students with special needs, especially Life Skills students
- Ability to work effectively in a homebound setting with strong communication skills
- Willingness to work onsite and coordinate scheduling with parents and district programs
