Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher in a middle school setting focused on Emotional Support. The role supports students with emotional and behavioral challenges in a highly structured environment. It requires comfort managing a caseload that may include providing toileting assistance.

Location:

  • Middle school campus in the Naperville, IL area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment
  • Monitor student behavior and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and staff

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Special Education Teacher with LBS1 certification
  • Experience working with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral challenges preferred
  • Ability to handle toileting assistance and personal care needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Schedule and Contract Details:

  • Contract duration through May 2026
  • 37.5 hours per week, typically scheduled from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM
  • Onsite position at the school facility
