Job Description: Patient Care Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide the office & the doctor with administrative and practical support as needed
- Greet & assist patients as needed & manage appointment schedule
- Send out claims, pre-auths & do insurance verifications. Also manage the trackers for the same.
- Send treatment plans in accordance with insurance coverage.
- Explain financing options
- Follow up on claims & pre-auths on weekly & monthly intervals.
- Keep insurance credentials updated at all times & join new insurance plans as deemed necessary/appropriate
- Keep insurance fee schedules updated & request fee increase on yearly basis
- Cross train for Dental Assisting on need base
- Excellent phone skills for scheduling. Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Professional look and behavior. Capable of coordinating treatment and handling payments. Understanding of dental insurance and knowledge of coverages.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients. Reliable team player with a cheerful attitude. Skilled at multitasking, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Being bilingual is a plus. We will take the time to train the right candidate.
