- Attends to children at schools, private households, or childcare institutions.
General Accountabilities
- Creates developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts and songs.
- Maintains a safe play environment.
- Dresses children and changes diapers.
- Observes and monitors children's play activities.
- Disciplines children and recommends or initiates other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books.
- Communicates with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Sanitizes toys and play equipment.
- Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and making phone calls.
- Organizes and participates in recreational activities and outings, such as field trips.
- Helps children with school work.

Job Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience
