API Developer (.NET) – Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced API Developer (.NET) to join our growing team and support a large healthcare client. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high-performing web-based applications and APIs in a regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET / C#
- Create clean, efficient back-end code and interfaces for new and existing web platforms
- Work extensively with JSON-based data exchange between systems
- Analyze user and business requirements to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Integrate web applications with internal systems and third-party services
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance
- Stay current with web development trends, tools, and best practices
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of professional experience in web and/or API development
- Strong experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs)
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and related web technologies
- Solid understanding of HTTP methods, API security, and data validation
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality code
Nice to Have
- Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment
- Knowledge of SQL or relational databases
- Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
