Job description:
NSC Staffing is seeking experienced Marine Braze Pipefitters to join our team for exciting shipyard projects. If you have strong maritime experience and want to work on high-profile vessels while earning competitive pay and benefits, we want to hear from you!
As a Marine Pipefitter, you will remove, repair, fabricate, and install piping systems aboard vessels in compliance with Navy, MSC, and ABS standards. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role where your craftsmanship ensures the safety and efficiency of complex marine systems.
Pay is $24/hr plus $130 Per diem for non-local
What You’ll Do:
- Fabricate, install, and repair marine piping systems according to specifications and drawings.
- Use industry tools such as pipe threading machines, benders (manual and power), drill presses, and brazing equipment.
- Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks and boundaries.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Guide and support helpers and improvers on assigned tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of pipefitting experience, with at least 2 years in marine/shipyard environments.
- Knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory.
- Ability to certify in:
- MT Braze (B-1)
- MT Braze (B-2)
- Proficiency with both U.S. standard and metric systems.
- Strong understanding of marine pipe fabrication and repair processes.
- Physically and medically capable of wearing PPE (respirators, harnesses, hard hats, etc.).
