How you will make an impact:
Shepherd’s Flock is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual with flexible availability to join our team as a Substitute Teacher at Shepherd’s Flock Intergenerational Child Care Center. The ideal candidate should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with the team, volunteers, and parents. A commitment to attending 20 clock hours of in-service training annually is essential. As a Substitute Teacher, responsibilities include following the classroom Teacher's plans, implementing positive discipline and guidance techniques, fostering teacher-child relationships based on love and understanding, ensuring an inclusive environment sensitive to diverse backgrounds and individual needs, and promptly reporting any suspected child abuse or neglect. Schedule Varies: This is a on-call position with rotating hours between 7 AM-3 PM or 10 AM-6 PM.
What you will need:
- At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Must meet all state (DCFS) qualification requirements for a licensed Child Care facility.
