Position Title: Entertainment Technical Supervisor
Department: Sales and Marketing
Employment Classification: Non-exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
An Entertainment Technical Supervisor is responsible for handling technical work for Route 66 Casino Hotel Legends Theater, Stadium 66, Thunder Road Steakhouse & Cantina, meeting rooms, and other temporary venues as a result of promotions or special events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with all stage/concert/event production technical and labor requirements for the Legends Theater.
- Oversee Legends Theater Box Office on concert nights including ticket sales, will call, and customer complaints as well as maintaining inventory of ticket stock and other box office equipment.
- Oversee and coordinate the staging of event lighting, sound, video, and other equipment and/or assets, as required for individual performances.
- Exhibit strong knowledge in understanding and reading entertainment contracts, riders, stage, and lighting plots in order to implement information.
- Perform basic construction and carpentry.
- Participate in the development of department goals and objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of current technological development/trends.
- Understand the technical capabilities of all venues including Legends Theater, Stadium 66, Thunder Road Steakhouse & Cantina, and meeting rooms.
- Manage, direct, guide, and provide technical oversight to technical stage crew members in entertainment production practices, techniques, and work standards.
- Oversee and coordinate the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of theatrical staging equipment and facilities; maintains a preventive maintenance program and vendor contacts for repairs as necessary.
- Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills by phone and/or in person; understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
- Work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers and patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, professional manner at all times, and arbitrates disputes professionally.
- Perform additional tasks or responsibilities to help with the production of a show.
- Exercise strong organizational skills, motivational commitment to the organization, speak accurately and clearly to co-workers and guest, and good public speaking skills.
- Recommend, implement, and administer policies and procedures to enhance safe / quality operations.
- Manage the activities and performance of Light/Sound Technicians.
- Actively participate in Supervisory Development Leadership Series (SDLS) yearly.
- Work odd or unusual hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED Certification preferred.
- BA Degree in related field or a minimum of five (5) years practical experience in the presentation of live entertainment preferred.
- Previous technical stage experience required.
Licensing & Certification:
- None.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Requires employee to hear, stand, see, talk, walk and repetitively use hands the majority of the time.
- Requires employee to bend, crouch/stoop, stand, turn/twist, push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 50+ lbs. the majority of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decisions, interpret data, read and write the majority of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors in a Casino environment with exposure smoke (e.g., cigarette smoke).
Other Requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board and must provide/maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
