Job DescriptionSalary: $48,000-52,000 per annum

Coordinator, Junior Play

The purpose of this position is to deliver exemplary customer service to junior-program customers, coordinate junior recreation leagues and initiatives, and provide professional support with various projects as assigned by the Director, Junior Programs & Player Development (DJPPD).

This position will report to the DJPPD.


This position will close on July 7, 2025 unless further extended by the USTA Southern Executive Director.


Essential Job Functions

  • Prioritize annual goals, KPIs and priorities as set forth by the DJPPD. Goals, KPIs and/or priorities may be changed, updated and/or modified at any time by the DJPPD and/or Executive Director (ED).
  • Provide expert technical services for Serve Tennisand USTA Net Generation Junior Play Tracker App.
  • Oversee the Junior Circuit Tournaments and assist State staff as needed.
  • Manage the USTA Southern Good Chase Sportsmanship program and assist state staff as needed.
  • Coordinate efforts for the Southern Junior Team Tennis (JTT) program and assist state coordinators and district/state staff.
  • Manage the tournament schedule, rules, and regulations for the USTA Southern Grand Prix Circuit (10 and under).
  • Serve as first contact for Youth Team, RCX and other related leagues.
  • Navigate and train coordinators about Team Challenge
  • Review and work on Junior Assistance Foundation Grants, JTT Grants and Junior Circuit Grants.
  • Serves as State Liaison to the following committees: USTA Southern Junior Play Committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by DJPPD and/or Executive Director.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of program management experience, preferably in the tennis and/or sporting industry (preferred)
  • Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point (required)
  • Software proficiency in Serve Tennis, TennisLink or similar registration platform (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite & G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms), and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom & Google Meet (preferred)
  • Safe Play Certified, or ability to be certified within 30 days of employment (required)

  • Highly motivated self-starter with desire to promote and grow tennis.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new and existing technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for satisfactorily resolving customer inquiries, questions and issues.
  • Validated capability to successfully perform research and analytics to assist department with its commitment to the USTA Southern junior brand.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


Working Conditions

  • Office Headquarters: Peachtree Corners, GA
  • Hours of Work: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM but requires hours outside of the core business hours.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to move around while offsite; use hands to finger and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the lifting (of up to 15 pounds) at times. In-office positions currently operate in a hybrid office/home setting which allows flexibility to work from home 1-2 times per week, contingent on supervisor approval. Hybrid schedule is subject to change in the future. Occasionally attends events and may be exposed to outside weather.
  • Travel Requirements: The position requires travel including but not limited to tournaments, meetings, workshops and other USTA-related events.
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
