We are currently seeking a senior Palo Alto Firewall Engineer/Admin. This is a long term, remote contracting role for candidate that live in the US and have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience managing Palo Alto firewalls. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience working in the US (not just with US companies, but actually working in the US). Open to only W2 and 1099.

We are looking for Senior Firewall Engineers who have experience managing and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuing security, performance, and reliability. At this time, we are NOT looking for engineers to design and build networks.

Job Requirements:
• Experienced in managing Palo Alto firewalls (5+ years)
• Knowledgeable in conversation of layer 4 rules to layer 7 using UserID and AppID
• Understanding of creating custom AppID’s
• Managed Palo Alto infrastructure (upgrades, patches, configurations)
• Preferred – Experienced in managing Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment
• Preferred – Deployed Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
• Preferred – Ability to leverage python scripts to automate tasks
