Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2025/26 school year within the Phoenix areas high school settings. This contract position offers the chance to work with diverse student populations in alternative and traditional high school environments, focusing on delivering specialized instruction and support tailored to individual student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction as a resource or ED-P teacher for high school students with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with Arizona DOE standards.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and related service providers to support student growth and success.
  • Manage caseload effectively, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and professional development.
  • Utilize positive behavior support strategies to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona Department of Education certification with Special Education endorsement.
  • Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
  • First Aid certification preferred.
  • Prior experience working with high school students, while not mandatory, is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Location: Phoenix area, with assignments potentially including Dobson High School (ED-P setting) or an alternative education school (Resource Teacher setting).

Work Schedule: Full-time, approximately 35-37.5 hours per week for the duration of the school calendar (ASAP start through May 2026).
