Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education teacher serving students with extensive support needs in an autism special day class at an elementary school in Elk Grove, CA. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year and offers a direct hire pathway.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating students skills, learning preferences, and individual needs to develop tailored educational goals
- Creating, monitoring, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) outlining specific services and acmodations
- Adapting and modifying the general education curriculum to ensure accessibility and appropriateness for students with disabilities
Qualifications and preferred experience:
- Bachelors Degree or higher
- California Special Education credential: Education Specialist (ESN) or Moderate/Severe credential
- Experience supporting students with autism or extensive support needs is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and munication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
