Position Summary
The Manager, Materials Control is responsible for material planning, procurement and inventory control.
Essential Functions:
Management of the material planning and procurement process and inventory control
- Oversight of materials warehouse
- Perform incoming material processing, allocation and reconciliation
- Maintain custody of materials not in production
- Interact with clients as is relates to client specific inventory
- Write, review, edit and approve master documents as applicable: SOPs, reports, specifications, policies, and directives
- Assist in the execution of studies and qualifications of equipment and processes, as needed
- Write/Review/Approve (as applicable):
- Operational Deviations Reports (ODR)
- Change Management Documentation
- Supplier Nonconformances
- Perform supplier audits, as needed
- Perform internal audits
- Onsite attendance required. (Being physically present at work on a regular basis is considered a critical part of performing the job duties)
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, subordinates, and vendors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required or 5 years prior experience in a materials management role
- General business operations knowledge and experience, particularly with inventory control systems, preferably in a cGMP environment
- Job functions cannot be performed remotely.
- Basic computer skills (including MS Word, MS Excel); ability to learn other database software,
- Dress, speak and act in professional manner

- Office working environment
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to move up to 25 lbs. daily as part of incoming raw material, staging, and warehouse activities.
