Commercial Roofing Project Manager
Location: Chicago, IL, (or surrounding areas)
Salary: $75K-$100K base + bonus, total earnings $130K+
Position Overview
The Roofing Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial roofing projects from initiation to completion. This includes managing field operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project schedules and phasing plans.
- Manage job costs through ECAC and WIP reviews.
- Control manpower on project(s).
- Coordinate project activities to attain successful goals on all projects by focusing attention on time and in budget project completion.
- Be effective in reading and takeoffs from Plans/Specs for new/reroof projects.
- On site management of assigned projects including coordination/supervision of subcontractors.
- Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects.
- Assist in winning profitable repeat business by cultivating customer relationships during management of projects.

- Participate in pre-job meetings with handoff from estimating to operations on assigned projects.
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial roofing experience, Experience in Project Management and/or estimating in commercial roofing or similar commercial construction industry
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and low slope applications.
- Ability to develop and implement jobsite safety plans and ensure compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction production planning and project management.
- Experience with roof repair and maintenance, including steep slope and green roofs.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
