SUMMARY:

The primary focus of the Guest Service Associate is to complete the transition of a guest and equipment to and from the bag drop off or parking lot and ensure that all equipment is loaded on a meticulously clean and properly stocked golf car. This goal will be completed by greeting each guest, picking up and dropping off equipment, and having excellent communication and organizational skills. They will provide timely, friendly service, and anticipate the needs of our guests. They must show dedication to the Maui Nui Golf Club Experience.

The Guest Service Associate is generally the first and last person to contact our guest. In other words, they are the first and last impression that most guests will have of Maui Nui Golf Club. The Guest Service Associate will also be responsible to clean, detail, restock, park and charge the golf cars, and ambassadors’ cars following each day’s play.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Current Hawaii state driver’s license

2. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

3. Great people and service skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and/or thank each guest at our facility.
  • “Wow our guests” by anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Fully understand and communicate the benefits of Maui Nui Golf Club.
  • Introduce yourself by name to guests
  • Transport guest’s equipment to and from the bag drop or parking lot to its proper location, i.e. golf car, practice facility, golf shop, restaurant, etc
  • Check, label, and load equipment onto the proper golf car.
  • Direct/escort guests to an appropriate area, i.e. golf car, golf shop, practice area, restaurant, etc.
  • Clean guest’s equipment.
  • Checking that the guests have removed all their personal items from the golf car before leaving the property.
  • Assist in providing rental equipment for our guests.
  • Assist with the operation in any manner or situation necessary, helping to create a proactive environment.
  • Provide fully stocked and immaculately cleaned golf cars for each guest.
  • Assist Golf Shop Staff, Practice Facility Staff, First Tee Host, Course Ambassadors, and other team members when necessary.
  • Keep the daily supervisor and Golf Shop informed as to any potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean working environment at all times.
  • Take golf cars to and from the cleaning area and to and from the staging area.
  • Remove all trash from vehicles and return any lost or misplaced items to the golf shop immediately.
  • Wash cars following standards and procedures set forth by the Guest Services Manager.
  • Detail cars when required.
  • Keep constant supply of cleaned, filled sand and seed bottles.
  • Complete laundry duties for towels.
  • Complete other projects and work requirements as necessary.

  • Excellent communication skills. Capable of working within a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to recognize, assimilate situations and resolve issues quickly without causing discourse.
  • Above average organizational skills and the ability to accomplish tasks in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks in a proficient manner.
  • Ability to observe the highest degrees of professionalism, friendliness, sales, and service.
  • Maintain a pleasing personality along with a constant smile and positive attitude.
