Job Description:
This position will be responsible to support developing and maintaining products for Auto OEM customer.
Responsibilities for this experience chemist will include:
Works with cross functional teams and support new color and product development, and technology cost and improvement projects.
* Follow experimental procedures, generate reliable data and consistently demonstrates the ability to contribute to the design of experiments. Lead independent projects or portions of larger project.
* Utilizes project management skills, process technology, knowledge of manufacturing, process technology, business, and internal/external resources with some direction/supervision from a team leader or senior chemist.
* Demonstrate commitment to goals through words and actions. Demonstrates adaptability and will drive positive change. Fosters a culture of innovation.
* Application of root cause analysis and BPI tools to support resolution of technical, manufacturing and field issues.
Support formula optimization and raw material initiative projects:
* Knowledge of chemistry/coating technology support the manufacturing, business, cost optimization and internal/external customers.
* Seeks new projects and does not avoid complex assignments. Concisely describes action plans to appropriate parties.
Education & Skills
* Bachelor"s Science Degree in Chemistry or related Engineering or Science field with 2 or more years of coating experience
* Good communications skills
* Ability to support multiple projects
* Preferably experience with Oracle, Quality Tool, Colorportal, LFA, NPD/Indx.
* Preferably experience with project management
* Ability to travel up to 15%
