Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead our geotechnical engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance in foundation design, engineering geology, and environmental engineering, ensuring project success through innovative solutions and effective project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct site investigations and assess ground conditions for various projects.
- Design and analyze foundations, slopes, and earthworks for construction projects.
- Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations based on geotechnical analyses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into project designs.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for geotechnical challenges.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Project for design and project management tasks.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and related fields.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in foundation design, engineering geology, and environmental engineering.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical analysis.
- Experience with slope stability analysis and groundwater analysis.
- Familiarity with project management principles and risk assessment techniques.
- Competency in technical reporting and documentation.
- Experience with ground improvement techniques and site investigation processes.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
