Toddler Teacher (2 year old classroom) The Learning Experience Bushwick (Brooklyn, NY)
Pay: $20$22 per hour
Age Group: 2 year old classsroom
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday
Location: The Learning Experience Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY
About the Role
The Learning Experience Bushwick is hiring a dedicated Toddler Teacher to guide our classroom of energetic and curious 2-year-olds. Our program emphasizes hands-on exploration, early independence, and meaningful routines that help toddlers grow socially, emotionally, and academically. If you have experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting and enjoy leading an active classroom, we want to speak with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of a 2-year-old classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and age-appropriate space.
- Implement The Learning Experiences L.E.A.P. Curriculum, supporting toddlers cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional skills.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, modeling strong classroom practices and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Build trusting relationships with families and provide daily updates on childrens routines and progress.
- Maintain compliance with New York State early childhood licensing and health/safety standards.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Bachelors or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, OR
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with young children plus high school diploma
Additional requirements:
- Experience leading or supporting a toddler or preschool classroom preferred.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for 2-year-olds.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Must meet all New York State early childhood educator qualifications.
