SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing relationships and providing value-added services to the embedded organization and ensuring that the established service agreements are fulfilled. This role involves direct interaction with customers, including upper management, and a proactive approach to sales and inventory management. An ambassador of the company and a trusted face to our customers, while adhering to company values.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a sales representative or account manager within industrial supply
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Highly self-motivated and target-driven
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills
- Ability to adapt and deliver based on customer requirements.
- Ability to drive a personal vehicle with insurance per company policy to visit customer sites
- Must maintain a company insurable driving record
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Building and managing relationships with various customer contacts, including upper management
- Working with the embedded organization using independent judgment on inventory requirements
- Receiving, packing, stocking, and maintaining customer products
- Quoting and sourcing inventory based on customer demand
- Developing and maintaining continuous improvement and cost-saving programs
- Maintain and grow existing customer base through consultative sales
- Other duties assigned by the Sales Manager to ensure business success
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to efficiently use a computer equipped with a standard keyboard and mouse
- Ability to communicate in English to locate, read, and report information
- Lift, lower, and carry product up to 50 lbs. and regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
