Job Description

As a Technician I, you will be responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. This role involves testing and troubleshooting assemblies and/or final systems, performing the set-up and testing of more complex systems, and following test process instructions. You will also determine test specifications, methods, and procedures from statements of work, complete rework on assemblies and systems, and prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. Additional tasks may include unpacking, packaging, placing labels, and crating.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
• Perform set-up and testing of complex systems and mechanical assemblies.
• Follow test process instructions.
• Determine test specifications, methods, and procedures from statements of work.
• Complete rework on assemblies and systems.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• Perform additional tasks such as unpacking, packaging, placing labels, and crating.
• Handle any other tasks assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting, rework, and test equipment.
• Experience in hardware testing and software installation.
• Strong computer skills, including downloading software.
• Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware.
• Knowledge in electronics, schematics, blueprints, and Linux C++.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic office applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting or networking computer components.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable working on ladders or stools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.00/hr.
