Position Overview
Berry Law Firm, a dynamic law firm with 250 users, seeks an experienced Information Technology Services Manager to lead and oversee IT operations, ensuring seamless delivery of technology services. The ITSM Manager will manage all endpoints, VoIP systems, user onboarding/offboarding, procurement, and Microsoft Entra/Intune configuration and management. This role will supervise a team of two IT staff and coordinate with a managed service provider (MSP) handling help desk functions. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to align IT services with the firm's operational and client-focused objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Management
- Oversee the procurement, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of all endpoints (desktops, laptops, mobile devices) using Microsoft Intune, ensuring security and performance standards are met
- Manage the firm's UC infrastructure tool (Dialpad), ensuring reliable communication systems and coordinating with vendors for maintenance and upgrades
- Configure and manage Microsoft Entra for identity governance and Intune for device management, ensuring compliance with security policies and firm standards
- Orchestrate SharePoint implementation and management with vendors
- Maintain and optimize key systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, Filevine, Dialpad, Kofax Power PDF, CrowdStrike, Sentinel One, and Datto RMM
User Support & Training
- Develop and manage efficient processes for provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts, hardware, and software access
- Generate digital literacy skills in staff through content creation for KnowBe4, Microsoft Stream, and Loom
- Create andmaintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of two IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Provide guidance and oversight to the MSP for help desk operations
- Implement ITIL-based best practices to streamline IT service delivery, incident management, and problem resolution
- Orchestrate actions in the absence of the CIO
Strategic Planning & Administration
- Collaborate with firm leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals, including planning for technology upgrades and scalability
- Provide reports on technology spend and maintain a scorecard based on endpoint and system lifecycle
- Oversee IT procurement processes, including evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing within budget constraints
- Manage Dell endpoint ordering and lifecycle management
- Ensure IT operationscomply with relevant regulations and standards specific to a legal environment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
- 5+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role
- Expertise in Microsoft Entra, Intune, and endpoint management
- Experience with UC systems, particularly Dialpad
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements in a legal environment
- Proven ability to manage procurement processes and vendor relationships
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders, including attorneys and firm leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and provide occasional after-hours support
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- ITIL certification
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Knowledge of legal-specific software and document management systems, particularly Filevine
- Strong project management skills to lead IT initiatives and upgrades
- Experience managing technology budgets and lifecycle planning
- Filevine experience a plus
Work Environment
- Primarily in-office role with travel as needed in the Lincoln/Omaha Metro area
