We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Operations to join our leadership team and take our operations to the next level.
Position Overview:
The Director of Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure efficient, consistent, and outstanding service to guests. This includes managing departments such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering. A successful candidate will have a strong background in hotel operations within the Marriott brand and a passion for excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Marriott standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and goals, identifying areas for improvement and cost management.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Marriott policies and procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team to achieve outstanding results and foster a positive work environment.
- Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with staff, guests, and corporate partners.
- Evaluate operational processes and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably with Marriott hotels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in optimizing operational processes and driving continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of applicable hotel industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
