Job Description

This is a long-term, temp-to-hire Welder opportunity with a steel manufacturing company located in NW Industrial Portland. The company leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality cut parts for manufacturers, fabricators, and machine shops. In this role, you will primarily perform MIG welding on stainless steel in a production environment focused on quality and precision. Welder Responsibilities:

  1. Perform MIG welds on stainless steel, including material prep, setup, and adjustment of equipment to meet quality standards
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
  3. Inspect finished welds for structural integrity and quality while performing basic equipment maintenance and reporting issues
  4. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, and collaborate with production teams to meet daily goals

Welder Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience MIG welding stainless steel in a production or fabrication environment. Experience setting up MIG welding equipment, including wire, gas, and parameter adjustments
  2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
  3. Strong understanding of heat control, weld quality, and distortion prevention on stainless steel
  4. Reliable, safety-focused team player able to meet quality and productivity standards

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $25-30
