About the Role:

The Night Laundry / Front Desk Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the facility during overnight hours while providing excellent customer service to guests and visitors. This position ensures that all laundry services are completed accurately and promptly, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic environment. Additionally, the attendant manages front desk operations during the night shift, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and addressing inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. The role requires multitasking between laundry duties and front desk responsibilities, ensuring seamless service delivery throughout the night. Ultimately, this position supports the overall guest experience by combining operational support with attentive customer interaction during non-peak hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in laundry operations or hospitality front desk roles preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills to operate front desk software and record-keeping systems.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and handle physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hotel, motel, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with laundry machinery and maintenance procedures.
  • Customer service training or certification.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards related to laundry and hospitality services.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor laundry machines to wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and guest laundry efficiently and according to established standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment and work areas to ensure safety and hygiene compliance.
  • Manage front desk activities during the night shift, including guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and handling guest requests or complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry loads, guest transactions, and any incidents occurring during the shift.
  • Coordinate with other departments to communicate guest needs and ensure smooth operational flow throughout the facility during overnight hours.
